Middle Tennessee Black Gun Club
Date
April 2023
Location
Nashville, Middle Tennessee
Project type
Press Release + Local Press Tour
When the Middle Tennessee Black Gun Club first started, they were a small group of entrepreneurs and trainers passionate about making gun safety training free and accessible to the Black community. Despite their dedication, they struggled with visibility and engagement beyond their immediate network.
Everything changed when Taiisha Bradley, Media Circus Publicity, strategically timed a press release to coincide with a major Tennessee gun law enactment. The media took notice, and soon the club was featured on Nashville local news, gun niche blogs, and even a national magazine.
This newfound visibility sparked a surge in memberships, packed training sessions, and valuable partnerships with local organizations. What once was a grassroots effort is now a recognized voice in gun safety, with the club’s leaders regularly called upon as thought leaders in the conversation around responsible firearm ownership in the Black community.
